Gay Blades Rapper Sword is a team, or, more correctly, a side of traditional sword dancers living and dancing in the Boston area. We have performed at the Lavender Country and Folk Dancers' dance camps, the New England Folk Festival, NOMAD Festival of Music and Dance, and other venues.

This site contains information on Rapper sword dance and the history of the Gay Blades, as well as a discussion of our unique approach to the tradition. We also have many pictures of the team taken over the past several years.
